Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

Believe it or not, the end of the 1st quarter is just two weeks away on Friday, October 21st, with Parent Teacher Conferences taking place the following week.

One of your child’s teachers will soon be reaching out to schedule a conference with you.  These conferences will be scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th between 4 and 8pm.  We’d love to have you visit us and meet in-person at NMS, but conferences can also be conducted via phone call or Zoom if that works better for you.  Just like last year, this one teacher will be able to discuss all your child’s classes and update you on how things seem to be going at school.  This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions or raise concerns if you have any.

Thursday, October 27th is then set aside for scheduling follow-up conferences with a specific teacher or teachers if you’d like. The teacher you conference with on Tuesday can help you with this process or you can reach out directly to those teachers at any time. In fact, you never have to wait for conferences to speak with us – please call, email, or stop by whenever you have questions or concerns.

On both nights of conferences, Mrs. Tacy will be opening up the Scholastic Book Fair from 4 to 6pm for anyone who wants to come do some shopping in the NMS library. This is a great chance to get some extra reading material for home or stock up on holiday gifts, and the proceeds help fund our WYTOPP incentive activities for students at the end of each year.

Since teachers will be emailing you in the coming weeks to try to schedule a conference, this is a great time to double check that we have correct contact information for you in Power School. Please let us know if email/mailing addresses or phone numbers have changed.

Please continue to check your email and this Facebook page for updates and information regarding fall Parent Teacher Conferences and other important happenings at Newcastle Middle School. As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
